Nigel Perry, FiltaFry Plus Franchise Owner, speaks out

The chances of growing this business are vast. You can either be a one-man-band or you can go up to 3, 4, 5 vehicles on the road and you can direct your own business within the franchise. Again, the business plan they offered to me and I’ve set with them allows me to grow my business to as far as I want to take it.

Nigel Perry, FiltaFry Plus Franchise Owner, talks about his experience with FiltaFry Plus.

Good evening, my name is Nigel Perry. I’m a FiltaFry franchisee based in the West Midlands. I’ve been with the group now for four months. This is a very quick, very short testimonial as to how their services work for me, the franchisor’s work for me and how I see my business growing through FiltaFry and the help they give me.

The FiltaFry concept is very unique, having looked at loads of different franchises, most of them require minimum about 300 to 400 clients to even start breaking even within your franchise business plan. FiltaFry, as I said, is unique. Forty-six clients on a repeat basis, on a weekly service you can make a very, very good living. The concept works.

What we actually do for the clients, again, is very unique. We filter the oil. Whilst the oil is being filtered at cooking temperature, we then vacuum clean the whole fryer, thus, making it a hygienically clean fryer. At that point we then put the oil back into the fryer. It’s a cradle to grave service. We can even supply the oil if need be and we can take the waste oil away.

I thought that was quite a unique service. I looked if there was any competition to FiltaFry and after extensive searches across the internet and speaking to people I know within the catering industry I was unable to find any competition. At that point I then went and met with FiltaFry in the head office at Rugby where I was met by Damian and Roscoe who explained the business concept to me in full.

I’d like to compliment both Damian and Roscoe about how honest and open they were as to the pros and the cons of the franchise, the support they would give me from day one, and the support all the way through my initial first year of being with FiltaFry. Have they delivered? Yes, they have. The first week I was there I had an in-house health and safety and a full training course which was promised to me on our first meeting. I then had a week’s training out in the field with another operative. Again, that was promised to me at the first meeting. They also said they would supply me a business coach which also has been very, very successful for me. They have seen my business in the first 12 weeks, from day one to the end of month three, grow and grow and grow. I must say thank you to them for the help they’ve provided me all the way through.

The chances of growing this business are vast. You can either be a one-man-band or you can go up to 3, 4, 5 vehicles on the road and you can direct your own business within the franchise. Again, the business plan they offered to me and I’ve set with them allows me to grow my business to as far as I want to take it.

The final thing is, most people wonder is it possible to make a living out of this? Yes, I can say it is. After sitting down with the business coach supplied by FiltaFry and looking at my business income over the first quarter I’m running 300% of where I thought I would be, which is absolutely fantastic and I firmly thank Damian and Roscoe for all the support and efforts they put in on my behalf, to make sure my business succeeds.

Are you looking to buy a franchise and potentially work with a franchise? I can honestly say, and I thoroughly recommend FiltaFry to anybody who’s looking for a service based industry within the catering department. Thank you very much for listening.
